Jusqu’où va la nuit est un moyen-métrage de fiction actuellement en développement, écrit et réalisé par Francis Frenkel.
Après la mort de leur enfant, Nathan disparaît. Trois ans plus tard, Marie suit sa trace jusqu’à Phnom Penh et découvre une vérité plus sombre qu’elle ne l’imaginait.
Nathan et Marie perdent brutalement leur enfant. Brisé, Nathan s’enfuit sans laisser de traces, laissant Marie seule face au vide. Trois ans plus tard, Marie retrouve sa piste : il vit au Cambodge.
Décidée à comprendre cette fuite, Marie plonge dans une quête incertaine au cœur de Phnom Penh, une ville grouillante et étrangère, où la disparition de Nathan révèle une réalité plus sombre qu’elle ne pouvait l’imaginer.
Nathan et Marie perdent brutalement leur enfant. Le choc fracture leur couple. Incapable d’affronter la douleur, Nathan disparaît sans laisser de traces, laissant Marie seule face à une souffrance qu’elle ne parvient pas à maîtriser. Pendant trois ans, elle vit avec cette double absence : celle de son enfant, et celle de la seule personne qui pouvait partager sa douleur, Nathan.
Lorsqu’elle retrouve enfin la piste de Nathan, au Cambodge, Marie décide de traverser le monde pour comprendre ce qui l’a poussé à fuir. À Phnom Penh, ville grouillante et étrangère, elle réalise que Nathan s’est enfoncé dans une sombre réalité. Sa quête devient alors un chemin de croix qui la mène au cœur des zones d’ombre où Nathan s’est volontairement abandonné à la douleur.

After the death of their child, Nathan disappears. Three years later, Marie follows his trail to Phnom Penh and uncovers a truth darker than she ever imagined.
Nathan and Marie suddenly lose their child. Broken by grief, Nathan vanishes without a trace, leaving Marie alone to face the emptiness. Three years later, Marie finds his trail: he is living in Cambodia.
Determined to understand his flight, Marie embarks on an uncertain quest in the heart of Phnom Penh —a teeming, foreign city — where Nathan’s disappearance reveals a reality far darker than she could have imagined.
Nathan and Marie abruptly lose their child. The shock shatters their relationship. Unable to face his pain, Nathan disappears without a trace, leaving Marie alone with a suffering she cannot control. For three years, she lives with this double absence: that of her child, and that of the only person who could share her pain—Nathan.
When she finally discovers Nathan’s whereabouts in Cambodia, Marie decides to cross the world to understand what drove him to flee. In Phnom Penh, a teeming and unfamiliar city, she realizes that Nathan has sunk into a dark reality. Her search becomes a kind of via dolorosa, leading her into the shadowy depths where Nathan has willingly surrendered himself to pain.
